Focus
Reviewing what I'm doing takes courage, but doing so gives me energy and clarity. Gaining a new perspective by looking at things from other angles and adopting an infinite mindset will help me. Writing will be central to this process.
For many years, I've struggled to focus on what's essential, often straying and losing sight of what propels me forward. My journey hasn't been devoid of success, but as Simon Sinek eloquently articulates in his latest book, The Infinite Game, understanding the different shades of success can inspire us to pursue continuous growth. You can either play the finite or infinite game, where the ultimate goal is to evolve into a better version of yourself. I'm striving to rediscover the latter.
This also entails reclaiming my much-needed writing zone, a space where I can reflect and focus. I've always understood the significance of this, but a lack of clarity has sometimes dampened my inspiration. Yet, there's always been this persistent urge to write, as I have many thoughts waiting to fill the voids in my life. This is a sincere endeavor to overcome life's hurdles and to write my way into becoming a formidable player in the infinite game, hoping it inspires you to carve out your own space for purpose and growth.
Balance
As I wrote in my last post, "Balance," I have been caught in the glorification of busyness. That has led me to stray, forget what I need to thrive, and be guided by a loud inner voice. With too much to do over a long time, I have become fragmented into too many pieces.
I am on a new journey, guided by my inner compass to rediscover my Why and find balance. A big part of this is deliberately investing my time, with writing at the center of the journey. It will help me connect with my voice and inspire a more infinite mindset.
It takes courage to step back and review what I'm doing. But it will give me energy and a clearer vision when I look at things from other angles to gain a new perspective - with an infinite mindset in mind.
Focus
As in life, if you lose your focus, you might feel overwhelmed or stretched thin. Restarting my writing with the themes closest to my heart-leadership, productivity, business development, and mindfulness - helps me stay grounded and connected with you.
The first is leadership: this begins with a series of blog posts I wrote some time ago about leading as a guide. I still find them relevant, especially when authentic leadership is scarce. I will also explore what it takes to dare to lead with an infinite mindset and share musings, observations, and other thoughts that get me thinking.
The second will be about productivity, which has always interested me. As a leader in a high-performing environment, finding ways to get things done smarter is essential, as it frees up my most valuable asset - time. This gives me space to connect the dots, moving my organization forward and myself upward.
The third is about building a successful, enduring business.
The last concerns mindfulness, a foundation for all the above.
In a coming blog post, I will set three words to focus on for the year. I'd love to hear your guiding words too - feel free to share and join me on this journey of growth and reflection!
